This forum brings together key contacts to increase the number and preparedness of graduates entering into the behavioral health workforce.
The Behavioral Health Committee of the Health Sector Partnership of Northern Colorado has been working on workforce issues for several years.
Initiatives include an annual exploratory event to inspire high school, college, and graduate students to enter the field of behavioral health and a resource library of YouTube videos featuring local professionals who describe their passion for and their pathway through the behavioral health field.
The committee has applied for and been awarded a grant from the Larimer County Behavioral Health Services to support the 2022 annual event and a new initiative bringing together education and organizations in an Advisory Forum to better prepare our students in entering the workforce.
The Advisory Forum is designed to discuss opportunities to increase the numbers and preparedness of graduates into the behavioral health workforce. We hope to break down silos through developing stronger relationships, enhancing communication, identifying opportunities, sharing resources and developing collaborations and partnerships.
