A special thanks to Aims Community College for sponsoring the breakfast food and drinks for the meeting's attendees.
Today's meeting agenda included:
Updates on the awarded grants the Health Sector has received:
CWDC Strong Sectors, Good Jobs Grant - The initiative is intended to address workforce shortage issues in Region 2 by improving access to hands-on events and build relationships with future workers and their educators in rural areas in order to increase the number of workers entering the health profession. We intend to accomplish greater engagement with rural communities including student and adult worker/learners in Estes Park, eastern Weld County, and other rural school districts in Region 2; expanded outreach and hands-on engagement for students with recorded video sessions for additional outreach; and a system of tracking and supporting those who show interest in future health careers and related education.
The Health Sector is nearing contracting with the selected consultant.
The Opportunity Now Phase 2 Grant will support the strategic planning process to develop the next initiatives of and leaders within the Northern Colorado Health Sector Partnership. The grant will support a contracted consultant to facilitate a process to develop a specific plan and timeline for implementation.
We are actively seeking applications for the contracted consultant. If interested, please notify through email - nocohealthsector@gmail.com.
