Ideas for outreach to youth not selected for CareerRise Summer Internships
Thanks to everyone who attended the All Partners meeting on May 25 and helped us brainstorm ideas on connecting youth with work-based learning opportunities and identifying the barriers that need to be overcome.
The Work-Based Learning work group of the Workforce Committee will be taking a deeper dive into the ideas shared to provide detailed information on how the ideas could connect youth to opportunities.
The areas that we will be focusing on as we explore the ways to accomplish the ideas expressed fall under the following categories:
Volunteering
Informational Interviews
Education and Training
Hands-on Activities and Events
We will be reporting out the progress from the Work-Based Learning work group as we make progress.
